So if you haven’t heard yet Google SearchWiki has just launched which some say is going to forever change personal search. You decide for yourself and check out this video by a Google SearchWiki engineer:
SearchWiki lets you customize your Google Web Search results. You can rank, remove and add notes to any result page and see those tailored results anytime you do that search while you’re logged in to your Google Account.
So all you need is a Google account and log in for Google SearchWiki to work. There is going to be a lot written on this subject in the near future so I don’t want to take a lot of your time just wanted to inform you on the new addition to Google’s arsenal.

I am wondering from where Google gather all those brains who code these technologies. I have noticed that but never go in depth. I think that is going to be very popular but I am wondering if it can help SEOing our sites?

Allan – I would almost imagine personalized results having a negative effect on the efforts of SEO, but I think that it will help make the good SEO companies even better. Meta descriptions and URL architecture now have an increased role in the SERP’s for eye tracking and the bolded keywords in the results.
Google obviously made a big movement initially because of the clean layout and design that they gave in their search result layout, so I think that these new icons detract from that slightly. I wonder if it will become a permanent fixture or if it is going to pass.

Where Google will take us? I think our destination is beyond our imagination. In most cases, I don’t like SEO Mumbojumbo, but in real life, it really works. I have seen such sites which are being optimized via meta tags and they achieved results.
